Lake Garden

At a distance of 1 km from Saputara Bus Station and 1.5 km from Saputara Lake Boating Point, Lake Garden is a beautiful garden in Saputara, the lone hill station of Gujarat. Also called as Lake View Garden, it is an ideal picnic spot and also one of the prime places to visit in Saputara.

Situated on the banks of Saputara Lake, Lake Garden is a perfect place to sit by and relax or take a stroll along the periphery of the lake. This well-manicured garden has green lawns, some rare and exotic species of plants and trees. Besides, one can also find a few walking trails, benches, a glass house with in the Garden. There is also a huge playground for children in the garden premises. This is an ideal place for relaxing and spending time with family and friend.

There are many snacks and refreshments stalls, and some restaurants outside the garden. Many visitors stop to relax here enroute to the main attractions of Saputara, like the Saputara Lake, Sunset Point, and Ropeway. The garden is at its full bloom during the months of March to April and July to August.

By Road: The town of Waghai is 51 km away. Ahmedabad: 409 km. Surat: 164 km. Mumbai: 250 km. Vadodara: 309 km. There are State Transport buses and private luxury coaches from Waghai and Ahmedabad. If you are coming by a private car, than National Highway might be quicker, but the state highway will offers a stunningly scenic drive.

By Rail: The nearest railway station is Waghai, on the Billimora-Waghai narrow gauge section of the Western Railway. For those coming from Gujarat via Surat or Ahmedabad or even from Mumbai, Billimora is the more convenient rail head, and a direct bus service is available from there.

By Air: The nearest airport is Vadodara, 309 km away.
