Vadodara – Vadodara Airport (BDQ)

The Vadodara airport, also known as the Civil Aerodrome, Vadodara, is located in the Harni suburb of Vadodara. The airport had only a single terminal, which was not equipped to handle a large flow of passengers. Thus, to expand passenger flow and services to international destinations, a new terminal building was proposed in 2009. The construction of the new terminal was completed by 2016. On 22nd October 2016, Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, inaugurated this terminal. The airport is a civilian airport and currently does not handle any cargo. The airport has flights to domestic destinations like Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Chennai and Mumbai. It is the second-largest and International airport of Gujarat after the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. International flight operations are to be started in the near future.
