Ishwariya Park

Ishwariya Park is an eminent picnic spot and tourist attraction situated on the Jamnagar highway 7 kms away from the Rajkot city center. It was inaugurated in 2008 by the then Chief Minister of Gujarat.

Scattered over an area of around 80 acres, the Ishwariya Park features a peaceful environment and lush green lawns. There are walking tracks for morning and evening walks providing a good place for people of all age groups. The park is decorated with statues of different animals like giraffe, snake, owl, monkey, rabbits etc. and is fun place for kids where they can get pleasure from numerous swings and rides. The park is very clean and full of huge trees. Owing to its large area, the park is a prominent place for celebrations like birthday party, friendship day, school or college picnic.

The park has an mesemerizing lake(Ishwariya lake) and a golf course which boasts the tourists an opporunity to go for a boating or play some golf. Although the lake may get dry in summers, it remains full of water in monsoon and in winters and boating is real fun in the lake. There is a musical water fountain in the park that attracts everyone’s attention. The fountain sprinkles water in elegant ways while the lovely music relaxes the people. Once the colorful lights, installed in the fountain, are switch on, the scene becomes memorable. There is a golf course in park wherein people can play the sport and enjoy to the fullest. The best time to visit the garden is in the evening, especially in winters.

Ishwariya Park also has a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and is known as Ishwarya Mahadev. It is an ideal picnic spot for kids, families, and groups and also a nice place for golf lovers. The fee of entrance is nominal Rs. 20 for adults and Rs. 10 for children. The visiting timings 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM from Monday to Saturday, it is closed on Tuesdays, and on Sundays the park is open from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

By Road: The Nearest Town Vinchhiya (3 km) and the nearest bus station is Jasdan (15 km).

By Rail: The Nearest Railway stations are: Botad 45 km and Gondal 66 km.

By Air: The Nearest airports are Rajkot (77 km) and Ahmedabad (200 km approximately).
